Sawnee EMC - Commercial Service Shut Off With No Warning For Scheduled Maintenance
How can a power company shut off a company's power for "scheduled maintenance" without warning? Judging by the customer service responses, I am guessing they know they have a monopoly so they are not very concerned with providing high customer service, despite a motto of "We're More Than Electricity, We're Service".
From my experience this motto could not be further from the truth. All I've been told is that they are sorry, they are not sure why we were not notified, we should get a generator, they need to do upgrades now and then, and that a car or weather could have knocked out the power so we should be prepared. None of this explains why we didn't get a simple call or email to warn us of this "Scheduled Outage". Our neighbors received an email two weeks prior, but we received NO NOTICE.
Our entire business was shut down, our clients were angry, and we lost revenue.
This is not acceptable and shows me that if this industry were deregulated Sawnee EMC would be in a lot of trouble. I wish we had another option to move to because we would, even if pricing were a bit higher.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Sawnee EMC Cons: Maintenance notificationcustomer service.
