One of the EMC Customer Reps has come to my house I laid out my concern and also showed him what I was paying when I was with Georgia Power. He was stunned to see what I was paying to Georgia Power compare to EMC. I appreciated the fact he was sincere to me by telling...
That is not what I am experiencing with this company, they rip people and there is nothing to do about it. They have a man-made usage chart that does not reflect the reality and we have been billed more than $3 per day so we can end up paying about $100 per month while my family including my 1-year-old have to endure the cold every day.
I turn on our heater for 15mn a day no matter what we do the EMC will do their best so can charge us more than $3 per day.
That is cheating people, it is not fair when they are the sole company that provides Electricity in our location.
Electricity should not be a luxury but a necessity, one time they cut me off over $4 due to the fact that I was not able to pay their deposit for $400 so they put me in a prepaid account so they can rip us.
I regret Georgia power...
Look at those Man made charts, the less usage chart cost us barely $4 and the other one cost us $3 and something.... Their Customer Service could not splain those charts to us.

Scheduled a payment almost a month in advanced. Always pay early and try to be a good customer.
I told them we have a picture were the money was withdrawn 23 days and 14 business day in advance. She said they didn't receive it on time and have been having problems with chase bank. So I asked for the late fee to be waved 1 time because I had proof we had attempted to make payment way in advance. Representative from Sawunee didn't care and had no understanding that we had made every attempt at being a good customer and just wanted to throw it off on Chase bank.
I could understand if we were habitual late payers; however we are the total opposite and to get a standard statement like that was just really told me that could care less about my family as a customer and just feel like they can treat my family like a number. I never post complaints online if that tells you anything how I feel about Sawunee and the way I was treated.
